The clients, a nuclear family of four, approached us with a vision for their dream home: a spacious 4 BHK residence brimming with natural light and ventilation. However, they desired something beyond the typical linear contemporary aesthetic.
We envisioned a dwelling that defied convention. While the initial concept explored a contemporary linear facade, a more distinctive approach emerged. This project called for a design that danced with angles, both in its facade and its internal planning. Thus, the “Jagged” was born.
The residence is characterized by its pointed, angular massing elements that create a captivating facade. This striking design extends beyond the exterior, with the internal layout embracing a unique, asymmetrical style.
A central line thoughtfully bisects the 4BHK dwelling, separating the private areas from the public spaces. To amplify the sense of volume and grandeur, the public areas boast double-height ceilings, introducing a captivating play of scale within the residence.
Nestled within the heart of the home lies a courtyard, meticulously positioned to bathe the entire space in a calming ambience. This tranquil haven fosters a sense of connection between the interior and exterior, further enhancing the feeling of openness and light.
The project’s defining feature, the angular and massy facade, presented a significant challenge. Spanning a formidable 12 feet in height and constructed at an angle, this element demanded meticulous structural detailing to translate the vision into reality.
