Envision a 2.5-acre canvas in a newly developed sector of HUDA, neighbouring the iconic Noor Mahal. The client being a simple man sought a standard SCO complex, however he left the final design decision on me and I felt truly honoured to get this opportunity.
During my first visit to the site a unique vision ignited within me to create a landmark destination – not just another commercial complex , but a vibrant shopping arcade. The expansive 250-ft. frontage and surrounding environment held immense potential, begging for a design that exceeded the ordinary. Drawing inspiration from the grandeur of classical European architecture, we embarked on a journey to design 32 Emporio – a shopping arcade that seamlessly blends modern amenities with timeless elegance. Here, shopping becomes an immersive experience, fostering social gatherings and fostering vibrant interaction.
We planned a pedestrian-centric space, a stark contrast to the vehicle-dominated landscapes. This focus on walkability creates a welcoming atmosphere, encouraging visitors to explore and enjoy the diverse offerings of 32 Emporio.
The core challenge of this project laid in striking a delicate balance. We strived to maximize the saleable area, a crucial element of any commercial venture, while simultaneously incorporating ample open and interactive spaces. This synergy is vital to the project’s success – creating a prosperous commercial district that fosters a sense of community.
